Ape Escape is a great example of a budget-priced game that doesn’t skimp on features just because it’s inexpensive. There’s plenty of fun, unique PlayStation Move-controlled action to be had in Ape Escape, and the game offers up a fair challenge along with plenty of replay value.
While the number of gadgets and subsequent variety in gameplay are somewhat limited and the graphics don’t do justice to the PlayStation 3’s hardware, Ape Escape is one of the better Move games currently available and provides child-friendly entertainment from start to finish.

Ape Escape is the one PlayStation Move game I’ve been eagerly anticipating, so naturally I was super excited to see a demo for it appear on the PlayStation Store yesterday.
The download is just shy of 700 MB and gives you a good glimpse of what you can expect in the final product. All you need to play Ape Escape is one Move controller and a PlayStation Eye, and once you’re set up you’re treated to a comprehensive tutorial mode as well as one level from the game.

The official PlayStation Blogs have today revealed that the classic Ape Escape franchise will return to the gaming landscape this year in the form of a PlayStation Move-enabled party game for PlayStation 3, downloadable via the PlayStation Network in the US and at retailers in Europe this June.
Simply titled ‘Ape Escape,’ the game looks like a collection of mini- and micro-games featuring those lovable ‘Apes,’ and at first blush seems like a combination of the Raving Rabbids titles and the fun Move-enabled game, Start the Party.
In El33tonline’s books, this is a very good thing.
