Rovio Entertainment is the Finnish developer behind the ubiquitous Angry Birds franchise that has given a new meaning to the word ‘multiplatform’. This morning company CEO Mikael Hed announced a new videogame series called Amazing Alex that will debut in just two months’ time.
If you hadn’t heard by now, the latest edition of the world-conquering physics-based puzzle game series, Angry Birds, launched around the world across iOS, Android, PC and Mac devices today, while a host of planned merchandise was due for arrival, too.
Development studio Rovio has formally announced Angry Birds: Space, the next all-new entry to the company’s world-dominating puzzle game about catapulting birds at pigs.
Is there really space on this Earth for more Angry Birds? Haven’t we reached a saturation point yet with multiple versions of the fowl-flinging game already available across mobile platforms, PC and Facebook?
It seems not, because developer Rovio has announced plans (or more accurately, is teasing plans) to bring another incarnation of the addictive puzzle game to the world in the form of Angry Birds: Space.
