The 2012 edition of Xbox LIVE’s House Party comes to a screeching halt with the release of Alan Wake’s American Nightmare as Remedy’s latest psychological action thriller game scares all of the guests out of the place with its creepy anecdotes and moody disposition.

Remedy Entertainment has today formally announced a release date for the PC version of the developer’s Alan Wake, following an announcement in late 2011 that PC gamers could expect the outstanding psychological action thriller to release on their platform of choice, soon.
Microsoft has provided further details for this year’s edition of the Xbox LIVE Arcade House Party, with information on pricing and release dates for each of the four games included in the promotion.

The line-up for this year’s edition of the Xbox LIVE House Party has been announced, including a batch of exciting titles as well as a surprising (if you haven’t followed the rumours) addition to the Xbox 360 exclusives club.
Remedy Entertainment has announced that Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, the “stand-alone digital spin-off for Xbox LIVE Arcade,” will be available in the first quarter of 2012. Mid Q1 2012 to be exact!

‘It’s not a sequel to Alan Wake,’ we were told, but it does ‘take place in the Alan Wake universe,’ reports confirmed. ‘And it’s downloadable.’ Interesting.
