2K Games’ Top Spin 4 is looking amazing and with the release of an enormous batch of features videos for the publisher’s next tennis simulation game, it’s clear that the title will be packed with customisation options, different gameplay modes, training options and real world tennis players to choose from.
Not only all of that… but Top Spin 4 is incredibly visually impressive!
2K Games and 2K Czech have announced worldwide release dates for the pair’s upcoming tennis simulation, Top Spin 4, while also unveiling an impressive roster of real-world tennis players (both ‘classic’ and current) who will be included in the game as virtual doppelgangers.
Just like a winding, downward-spiralling life of crime, 2K Games just keeps trying to pull you back into Mafia II with offers of downloadable content (DLC), this time flashing four packs of the stuff from beneath its collective overcoat.
Like an addict, we can’t help but feel tempted.
Shush. It was better than 2K’s headline, at least:
“2K Sports Serves Up Another Winner With Top Spin 4”
Really, 2K? Really? Anyways, let’s get on with it:
2K Sports has officially announced today that the company’s next tennis simulation game, Top Spin 4, is scheduled for release on Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii in 2011.
Yesterday, news of a Mafia II demo ran wild across the internet plains, and while it was surely on the cards it’s always nice to get an official confirmation from a game’s publisher about these kinds of things.
It’s also always nice to get extended details about these kinds of things… from a game’s publisher… which is what’s just happened as 2K Games has announced that a Mafia II demo will become available on August 10 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, while revealing what kinds of shenanigans you’ll be getting up to in the taster.
If you’ve had a chance to look through any amount of screenshots and videos, or if you’ve only read about the epic mobster-themed story, you’ll know that Mafia II is looking and sounding mighty, and according to an advert in the latest issue of videogame trade magazine MCV, you’ll be able to get a taste of the game with a demo quite soon.
2K Games has announced that it will be releasing two downloadable content packs for the upcoming action crime game Mafia II.
The first downloadable pack, ‘The Betrayal of Jimmy,’ will be exclusive to PS3 users and will be available worldwide for free on the same day that the game launches. Gamers who buy a new PS3 copy of the game will find a voucher code for the DLC tucked inside, but you’ll also be able to purchase it on launch day through the PlayStation Network for $9.99.
Mafia II is looking fantastic, and seems to recreate the time period of the 1940s (roughly) in pitch perfect detail.
Combined with the ‘Mafia’ theme to give it some flavour, as well as the open-world environments and third-person shooting action, all made by the studio that brought you the original (excellent) Mafia game, and we’re seeing a title that you should definitely look forward to when it releases in late August this year.
Have a look through the rest of the new Mafia II screenshots below:
2K Games has let out word of a collector’s edition for the publisher’s upcoming Mafia II, available for all three versions of the game (namely PS3, Xbox 360 and PC) in North America and the UK.
Additionally, 2K Games has partnered with a number of retailers in both the UK and North America to provide free downloadable content to those customers who pre-order Mafia II through those retailers.
The full list of items contained in the Mafia II Collector’s Edition box is as follows:
2K Games has announced that Mafia II is set to release in late August around the world on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, as the publisher finally attaches a solid release date to the open-world 1940’s action adventure mobster game following a string of release window delays.
Even though Mafia II may have been delayed into the year by some months, it makes no difference to the team at 2K as they’ve just released another great, classy trailer for the mobster-themed period game, as Tommy guns rattle off rounds, explosions abound, car chases ensue and intense dialogue is uttered, all set to the classic song “Boom Boom” by John Lee Hooker.
