Let me start by admitting that I wasn’t always the biggest fan of the Aliens or Predators franchise. In fact I was somewhat reluctantly introduced to it through my first screening of the Aliens vs Predator film. And I will even go as far as to admit that I didn’t know which was the Alien and which was the Predator.
However, I suppose you could say that this was the beginning of my education in all matters of Aliens and Predators, and before long I found that I couldn’t get enough of the action. So you can imagine that I have been following the Aliens vs Predator videogame with quite a bit of interest and anticipation. Not even the guts and gore could distract me from eagerly downloading the game’s multiplayer demo as soon as it was delivered into our hands last week.

Ferrari will be returning to Need for Speed after a seven year hiatus. This is the latest news from EA who today announced that players will be able to download a new content pack on the 16th of February that delivers 10 Ferrari cars to the game.
EA and developer BioWare have announced that Dragon Age: Origins has shipped over 3.2 million units worldwide.

Sega has released a new trailer for their upcoming sci-fi FPS Aliens vs Predator, this one showing how players can master close combat attacks of the three different species in multiplayer.

LucasArts and TT Games have announced that development is underway for LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars. The game will be available for the Wii, DS, PS3, PSP and Xbox 360 in fall 2010.
LEGO Star Wars III promises to “combine the best elements of all previous LEGO games while adding brand new gameplay to make it the most action-packed LEGO videogame to date.” The same Traveller’s Tales team that created the LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Indiana Jones series will be in charge of development duties for LEGO Star Wars III.
Earlier in the month Gearbox Software announced that a character from the upcoming third add-on pack (titled The Secret Armoury of General Knoxx) for Borderlands would have a Twitter account and would dispense information from it.
Well it seems as if the character has been revealed and it appears to be none other than General Knoxx himself!
THQ’s off-road racer MX vs ATV Reflex launches across the UK today. And to celebrate the publisher has released a Bull and Tiger trailer, showing how two drivers are preparing for the game. Warning – don’t try this at home!
Sega is busy working on Iron Man 2: The Video Game, a multi-platform title expected to be released in 2010 alongside the sequel to the popular Paramount Pictures movie of the same name.
We already knew that James Rhodes, aka War Machine (played by Don Cheadle), would be playing a big part in the Iron Man 2 movie. Now this new trailer from Sega shows that War Machine will be included in the videogame too. However, the question that begs to be answered is how big a role will he play?

The PSP manages to stay ahead of the competition on the Japanese hardware chart. The latest Media Create figures show that Sony’s handheld sold 47 875 units for the week ending the 31st of January, dropping quite substantially from last week’s 52 909.
The Wii continues to nip at its heels with 42 309 units, down roughly 3 000 units from last week. The DSi LL overtakes the PS3, moving into third place with 34 863 units. The latest iteration of the Nintendo DS handheld receives a boost (up 10 804 units from last week) thanks to Dragon Quest VI: Realms of the Reverie which debuted at number 1 on the software chart with 906 000 copies.
Eidos has announced that a demo for Just Cause 2 is in the pipeline.
A post on their official Twitter account reads: “Just Cause 2 demo on its way, details to follow!” At this stage we only have confirmation that there will be a demo, with no details on platforms, pricing and release dates yet revealed.

Square Enix has released a new trailer for Just Cause 2, showcasing just how much freedom gamers can expect when the title becomes available in late March.
Just Cause 2 sees players stepping into the shoes of Rico Rodriguez, “the Agency’s most powerful weapon.” Rodriguez must infiltrate the island’s military regime to track down his former boss and mentor, Tom Sheldon, a rogue agent who has stolen intelligence and millions of Agency cash.
Capcom has announced that new DLC for its new action adventure game, Dark Void, will be available next week.
The Survivor Missions, described as an “arcade-esque experience,” see players reliving key events from the game as you face off against increasingly brutal waves of enemies on the ground and in the air.
Sega has released a new gameplay trailer for Yakuza 3, showing us just how brutal the battles are going to be and revealing more about the interesting two player mini-games (including darts, bowling and cage fighting) that you can expect to discover in the game.
Scribblenauts, the wonderfully creative DS game that Warner Bros unleashed on the unsuspecting public last year September, has found its way into one million homes around the world.
Scribblenauts is a 2D platform game in which you’re tasked with collecting an object called a Starite in every new level. But how you get them is completely up to you as the game allows you to type in the name of almost literally any object you can think of (from wings, jetpacks and ladders, to tanks, guns, boats and animals) or combine countless objects to create original scenarios.
