I really love you Naughty Dog - you gave me what I believe to be one of the best game franchises ever created, you gave me a witty half-tucked Nathan Drake, and you gave me hours of entertainment in three awesome adventures.

There is, however, a flip side to this coin. Because you also gave me frustration at not being able to log in to multiplayer matches, disappointment at missing playing online with my friends, and anger that this issue has not yet been resolved.

Playing Uncharted 3 online is still one of the best multiplayer experiences available today. Although the online is still plagued by a few problems, if you’re lucky enough to not run into these you’ll have smooth sailing and tons of fun experimenting with the different modes available.

It’s no secret that I am a Tomb Raider fan. I have watched as the series grew in popularity over the years, been dismayed when it began to crumble a little over the past few years, excited when The Guardian of Light bore testament to a reawakening of the might of Lara Croft, and amazed when the new re-imagined Tomb Raider was revealed.

Despite what should have been busy festive season sales, the latest figures from sales tracking firm The NPD Group show that retail sales over December 2011 in the US dropped by 21% to $3.99 billion from $5.07 billion in December 2010.

Even more alarming was that hardware sales declined by 28% to $1.32 billion while accessories fell 27% to $628.7 million. Software sales suffered the least, recording a 14% drop to $2.04 billion.
