At Sony’s currently-on-the-go Playstation-centric event, Destination PlayStation, a new kart racing challenger has entered the fray in the form of LittleBigPlanet Karting.
Starring the Sack people characters of LittleBigPlanet and set in the series’ unbounded, creative and colourful ‘Play, Create, Share’ universe, LittleBigPlanet Karting is said to support full stereo 3D.
The game will make use of a just-announced PlayStation Move-compatible racing wheel, which we would assume houses Sony’s motion controller to enable gamers to steer their karts around a track by twisting and turning the peripheral in mid-air.
News of LittleBigPlanet Karting first came to light with a Twitter post by Future Shop Gamer, which exclaimed:
“at [PlayStation] Destination Little Big Planet Cart racing announced for ps3. Move compatible wheel and 3D capable!”
An image of the logo and art has since made its way onto the internet, which you can glimpse below:

This could be interesting, wonder if they will have a level editor for some crazy tracks. I might get Move for this game.
Very interesting indeed, a close eye upon this I shall keep.
AAAAH!!! When is XBOX getting a decent Kart game???? CRY CRY!!! Curse Microsoft and their lack of cute fun party games grrrrrrr.... :(
Oh yeah, POItjie you hit on something very interesting there - a track editor would be in line with the Play, Create, Share philosophy, but it might also be stepping on ModNation Racers' toes a little bit. Interesting...
No karting games on Xbox? Time to get a PS3, son ;)
There is that one karting game on the Xbox 360 for kinect called Joy Ride, haven't played it, but it looks really fun.
Kinect joy ride is nothing close to the fun gaming of Mario Kart :( Or even Crash Team Racing...
PS3??? Then I'd have to sell my car... to keep up with my gaming needs for both consoles :P
