Final Fantasy XIII-2 has broken FIFA 12’s reign at the top of Chart Track’s UK Software Sales this week by claiming the No. 1 position for itself, thus becoming the first new chart topper of 2012 during its debut week on sale.
FIFA 12 was also denied the second place on the list as Metal Gear Solid HD Collection snapped up No. 2 on the chart, and Battlefield 3 (sales up 47%) pushed EA’s soccer/football sim further down the list.
Where did FIFA 12 end up this week? At No. 4 after sales of the game dropped 7% compared to last week, as Soul Calibur V debuted on the chart, appearing at No. 5.
Assassin’s Creed: Revelations is up three places to No. 6, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 tumbles to No. 7 from No. 2 last week, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is down five places to No. 8, Just Dance 3 skips its way to No. 9 from No. 4 and Saints Row: The Third rounds out the Top Ten at No. 10, down from No. 8.

Comments:
Yippeee BF3 is at number 3 \m/ - that is just some awesomeness right there. I just knew FF would jump to the top. EVERYBODY wanted that game and still wants it.
Brilliant, yes? After a long fought battle with Modern Warfare 3 and trading places between them, Battlefield 3 kept its composure as MW3 dropped a few places.
Nice to see Metal Gear Solid in the Top Five and Soul Calibur V making a solid debut.
