It’s not much of a surprise given that we were promised a follow-up by developer Danger Close, but it’s exciting to witness the build-up of anticipation for the formal announcement of the next game in the Medal of Honor franchise.
The latest news arrives as members of the press have begun to receive invitations to an event on March 6th. As has been correctly pointed out, that date coincides with this year’s Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, so EA may decide to make an announcement then, as the publisher did in 2010.
The invitation to this year’s event is emblazoned with Medal of Honor imagery (including the logo) - here’s an example, sent to Kotaku:
Teases of the next Medal of Honor game first began to appear in boxes of Battlefield 3 last year, so EA is keen to continue to give us clues until an official announcement is made in March - we’re looking forward to it, are you?
What would you like to see in the next Medal of Honor game to improve the experience of the first (series reboot) title from 2010?

Woohoo - great news, I'm going to be keeping a close eye on this!
But where's our invitation EA?
This game might be the only game that will get me away from BF3. I'm a big Medal of Honor fan and I loved the last game, Did so much MP in that game. was hooded on it, and still is. Need to do some MP again. I loved the fact that you didn't have Killcam. they shouldn't change too much, just use the Frostbite 2 engine or Frostbite 3 if there is one and make sure its as awesome as always. SO looking forward to the announcement.
Sorry I don't normally Double post but DAMM El33tonline got me excited about this....I'm going into Medal of Honor mode right now....even my eye started twitching...
Hee hee, brilliant POItjie - we really enjoyed Medal of Honor, too, especially that multiplayer. The singleplayer has room for improvement, but what's there is great, too.
This is going to be one to watch - another battle between Activision and EA this year!
Black Ops 2 vs Medal of Honor 2.......I'll be going with MOH2. its going to be awesome. Now I want to go home and play Medal of Honor online......and die millions of times....
