Game Informer recently went live with the first ever screenshots from Naughty Dog’s next action adventure game, The Last of Us, as part of the magazine’s month of cover story coverage, with new morsels of information included
Game Informer confirms that the amazing debut trailer for The Last of Us ran on in-game assets in an in-game engine, but wasn’t made up of parts from the final game.
In the upcoming issue of Game Informer, you’ll be able to read interviews with the developers at Naughty Dog working on The Last of Us, a game in which protagonists Joel and Ellie “must battle through” a harsh post-apocalyptic world, set in the city of Pittsburgh in the US.
The pair will need to rely on weapons and melee attacks to survive, while taking care to find new weapons as they will break with use, while rooting around for new items will also be vital to survival.
As in Uncharted, Naughty Dog prides itself on creating a world that isn’t just made up of brown and grey, so The Last of Us will also sport a rich colour palette
Game Informer also notes that, as an AI companion, Ellie can handle herself during combat and traversal and her ability to stay out of your way and involve herself in the action has been a key focus for Naughty Dog.

Comments:
This game looks really good, Looking forward to it. I'm keeping my eye on this game. its a sure buy.
This game looks set to be really good, but i cant help but say "Sam Fisher anyone" this character just looks way too much like him.
I have every faith that Naughty Dog will produce a thoroughly enjoyable game here. They are yet to disappoint.
lets hope this does NOT have multiplayer issues!
Joel reminds me of the guy from the Dos Equis commercials. "I don't usually kill zombies. But when I do, I prefer a .357 Magnum."
