The very first content drops for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 recently went live for Call of Duty Elite Premium members over Xbox LIVE, comprising two brand new multiplayer maps for ultra-fans of the first-person shooter.
Activision has now announced when PlayStation 3 owners will be able to get those new maps, provided you’re a premium member of the Call of Duty Elite social and content delivery service.
The so-called ‘Season of Content’ for Modern Warfare 3 kicks off on PS3 starting February 28th - over a month following the maps’ release on Xbox 360 - and will net you new multiplayer maps in the form of Liberation and Piazza. You can find out about those maps with more screenshots and information over here.
If you’re not yet sure about this whole ‘season of content’ and ‘premium member’ thing, you can get more details here and over here, but here are a few words straight from Activision, too:
“The Modern Warfare 3 Content Season is co-developed by Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software. All content is available first to Premium Members on Xbox 360, but will be available to Premium Members on PS3 before non-premium members on their console.”

Comments:
This is not as exciting as the BF3 DLC announcement that's coming next week. But I know some MW3 players will be happy about this.
