We don’t mean to blow your mind here, but The Darkness II is an ultra violent game. If you’ve read El33tonline’s preview or hands-on preview of the game, or if you’ve played the recently released demo, you’ll know that the set of execution moves available to you is especially gruesome and vicious.
Even though The Darkness II is presented in a comic-book visual style, the colours belie the games dark and gritty undertones… and overtones. Blood and viscera explode at every opportunity developer Digital Extremes can give to you, and some of the game’s vile kill moves have been revealed in a trailer.
The sensitive of eye shouldn’t proceed any further:
The Darkness II - Executions: Sliced
And those aren’t even the worst of them!
If you also delight in the destruction of the human form in creative and blood-splattering ways, then The Darkness II is definitely for you - look out for its release across Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on February 7th in North America and February 10th everywhere else.
El33tonline’s previous coverage of The Darkness II includes looks at some of the other… interesting ways in which enemies can meet their end, with more videos and screenshots to swallow down.
