Do you ever daydream about what AAA games will look like in ten years’ time? I know I do, but somewhere along the line reality kicks in and the rational part of my brain reminds me about the exorbitant costs associated with producing a full game’s worth of environments and characters which look as detailed as their real-world counterparts.
CGI gives us a tantalising glimpse at the future of real-time graphics and allows artists to recreate their visions without the limitations that current console hardware impose.
The latest trailer for the Xbox 360 version of The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition shines a light on the awesome talents of CD Projekt’s art team. By the looks of it, this is the new CGI intro which has been specially created for the Enhanced Edition, and is just one of a handful of additions featured in this updated version of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.
PC gamers who already own the original can download all the new content contained in the Enhanced Edition for free once the game is released for Xbox 360 and PC on April 17th.
Let us know what you think of the trailer (which includes some gory bits towards the end) and feel free to wax lyrical about how much you’re looking forward to playing The Witcher 2 on your Xbox 360.

Comments:
I must say this version is sounding really good, maybe I'll give the Xbox 360 version a try and just maybe I'll get into the game. (just maybe) not making and promises.
Nope, not gonna watch this. I can't spoil it! I'll save my eyes for when I buy the Enhanced Edition ;)
Good choice MacDeath - best to savour the flavour when you get the full game ;)
It's an excellent video, though - you'll definitely enjoy it when you finally see it!
