Comments:
What a bunch of crap. This stuff should have been in the game to start with. THQ is really milking the customers for all their worth with this one. And the content isn't really that great to be honest.
Sorry to come off so upset. It's just irritating to see such an incomplete game being released and then them wanting to charge you extra for tacky, meaningless dlc. But I digress.
There is a bit of free content in there, but I know what you mean.
I think THQ collectively thinks that post-release support of a game is expected from publishers and developers and they see it as a positive that they're supplying that content, but fans are obviously going to be upset that they're not getting the 'full' experience out of the box.
What kind of UFC DLC would you think is valuable enough to buy after the fact? Y'know, something that would have taken an extra six months or so to develop instead of character additions? Something like a new league in addition to UFC and Pride?
Like I said in an earlier UFC related post, they need to have the full roster up to date out of the box. I'm a UFC junkie and not having certain fighters in the game that have been on the roster for several months is inexcusable. The game is still two weeks out and they already have roughly $20 worth of dlc planned. Really? I don't like the idea of developers rushing to get a game out with the mentality of, "Oh we'll just release it later as dlc and charge them for it."
I'm not totally opposed to roster updates. They are needed. I'd like to see more fighters available in Pride Mode. There are some major exclusions in that mode. That's one thing. Another would be the addition of the Flyweight division that the UFC is about to add in March.
