The drought is over! I’m happy to announce that there are no less than four new games represented on this week’s Media Create top ten chart, and that we finally have a PS Vita game on the podium.
Dark Souls’ developer From Software scored big this week with the release of Armored Core V for PS3 and Xbox 360. Both versions made it into the top ten and racked up sales of almost 200 000 units between them. From what I’ve heard the game has an unbelievable number of customisation options and a wonky frame rate (not unlike Dark Souls). Hopefully this issue will be ironed out before the game releases in Western territories next month.
Armored Core V just managed to edge out Resident Evil: Revelations to claim the top spot. Capcom’s latest entry in the long-running survival horror series performed pretty well in its opening week considering its Mature age rating.
Third position on the chart is occupied by Tales of Innocence R - a remake of the classic DS RPG. This is the highest charting PS Vita title we’ve seen for a while and bodes well for PSV software sales in the future. Sony still refuse to release PSN sales data so an integral part of the PSV software sales puzzle will always be missing until they do.
You can view this week’s Media Create software chart below, while the hardware chart is over here.

Comments:
Those are pretty good first week sales for Armored Core and I'm impressed that the Xbox 360 version made it into the Top 10! Good debut for Resident Evil: Revelations as well.
