On February 16th, Alan Wake is “coming home” to PC and will be available for purchase and download via the Steam digital distribution service, and shortly thereafter over other digital channels, including EA’s Origin.

You’ll also be able to buy Alan Wake for PC at retail for $29.99 (which includes the game and downloadable content) or $34.99 (for the limited collector’s edition).

El33tonline’s review called Alan Wake on Xbox 360 “mesmerising” and said that it “delivers an experience quite unlike anything videogame fans have seen before.” Read the full review to find out about Alan Wake’s descent into darkness and the gameplay possibilities in his world.

According to Remedy, PC gamers will overcome the imposing darkness of Alan Wake’s world “in stunning high-resolution graphics” with “refined and enhanced PC features and support for stereoscopic 3D and multiscreen.”

CTO at Remedy Markus Mäki said of Alan Wake’s transition to PC:

“We’ve done our best to do justice to the PC version and do things the way they should be done for PC. The PC version looks absolutely beautiful. We’re bringing the game to life in a whole new way.”

  • Refined and fully configurable mouse and keyboard support (or if you prefer to play with the Microsoft gamepad connected to your PC, you can do that too!)
  • A wide selection of customizable graphics settings and support for 4:3, 16:9 and 16:10 aspect ratios
  • Multithreaded engine that takes advantage of quad core CPUs
  • Additional options our fans have sought after, such as field of view adjustment as well as “hide HUD”.
  • Works with AMD Eyefinity 3D 3-screen mode
  • Works with NVIDIA NVISION2 Stereoscopic 3D

If I didn't have this already, I'd be saying: "WANT!" ... So if you don't have it, you should be saying the same! :D

Yet another no-longer-xbox-exclusive. The game is truly EPIC! I was kind of expecting to see "improved facial animations" among the list of changes after the issues people had with it.

I need to play this game, I started it on the Xbox but got hooked in BF3 and Halo. Maybe I'll find some time this weekend and play it. visuals look great.
