With a release still roughly eight months away, the next game in EA Sports’ football franchise is already trending on Twitter.
The question is, why?
Could it have been as a result of a request by Manchester City striker and Italian national side player, Mario Balotelli, who tweeted:
“Who wants me on the cover of FIFA 13!”
Balotelli’s post has certainly sparked debate as football fans of all nationalities rapidly took to Twitter to discuss his cover star status (or lack thereof) and excitedly clamour for the game itself, despite the fact that FIFA 12 is only months old.
EA Sports has already started speaking about FIFA 13, but only in vague terms, including the claim that the game will support motion control gaming devices such as the PlayStation Move.
Are you already excited for FIFA 13, or are you content with FIFA 12 for the time being? Who would you like to see grace the cover of FIFA 13? Mario Balotelli, mainstay Wayne Rooney, or someone else?

Comments:
Well its just a matter of time till a new Fifa game comes out. Every year we see one.
Buying a FIFA game every year is a waste for me. I only bought FIFA 12 because my buddy conviced me that we could play online which made sense. Wont be buying another one anyime soon
Mario Balotelli is a knob - he won't be gracing my collection thank you. I know where you coming from SKWEH - I LOVE the FIFA franchise but a game every year is a bit much. I own Fifa 06 and Fifa 10 so it might be time for a new one :) Next year - without some dodgy ManCity knob on the front.
