This week’s US PlayStation Store update is a case of quality over quantity. There’s not a whole lot of new content but the latest additions are still likely to get many a PlayStation fan paying the Store a visit to sample some of this week’s delights.

Apart from some DLC for Dead Island, Need For Speed: The Run and Soulcalibur V, the main attractions are demos for Twisted Metal and Syndicate. Both are multiplayer focused, with the sample for Twisted Metal featuring two online modes (‘Free for All’ and ‘Nuke’) and eight vitriolic vehicles to choose from. The Syndicate demo, on the other hand, offers a brief sample of the game’s 4-player co-op mode.

The only new PSN title this week is Puddle - a physics-based platform puzzler where you guide puddles of various fluids through themed environments such as a human body and garden. Puddle began as a student project at the French video game school ENJMIN, and was later developed by Neko Entertainment. Be sure to download the demo for Puddle if its premise or origin story intrigues you in the slightest.
