Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and developer NetherRealm Studios have today formally announced the existence of Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
What’s so ‘Komplete’ about the game? It includes all of the previously released downloadable content in one package.
In Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition, you’ll not only get one of the best games of 2011 (and arguably the best fighter of last year) but four additional characters, namely Skarlet, Kenshi, Rain and horror icon Fredy Krueger. 15 ‘Klassic Skins’ and three Klassic Fatalities are also included for characters Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Reptile.
The vanilla version of Mortal Kombat has so far sold an incredible three million units around the world and won multiple awards, and while the original release was marred by unfortunate online functionality issues, all of that has been cleared up (for the most part).
Do you think the addition of the characters and extra content is enough to form a new version of Mortal Kombat? Check out El33tonline’s past looks at the game, as well as our review of the brutal fighter, to decide.
Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition will become available on Xbox 360 and PS3 on March 2nd in Europe and the UK.

Well, good news for any fighting game fans who hadn't bought the game yet, but if you're a fighting game fan, WHY HAVEN'T YOU BOUGHT THE GAME YET?
Agreed - if you haven't bought MK yet, you could wait until early March to get the Komplete Edition... but that means you have to wait! ;)
Hey at least they're not calling it the 'Game of the Year Edition' which is what most of today's games bundled with all the DLC are called ;) please don't hurt me, but I haven't bought MK yet so this looks like a good choice for me :D
I'm so going to pick this one up, as I haven't had the chance to buy this game and I really want it. So I'll wait to play it. Just look how long I've waited for Uncharted....
