The official news has been coming for a while, but Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games and The LEGO Group have recently confirmed that the next block-imbued adventures of Batman and co. will become available later this year in the form of LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes.
Coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, PC, DS, 3DS and PS Vita this ‘Summer,’ LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes will once again feature the escapades of LEGO Batman and his sidekick Robin as they try to save Gotham City from evil schemes, but this time the pair will get a little help from other DC characters, including Superman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern.
In order to bring balance to this supreme force of heroes, the world of Gotham City will play host to the wicked exploits of mainstay DC villains, The Joker and Lex Luthor.
LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes is the follow-up to the 11 million unit-selling LEGO Batman: The Videogame and is said to be enjoyable by players of all ages, and will complement the recently released LEGO Super Heroes: DC Universe toy collection.
The game will also include vehicles such as the Batmobile and Batwing as well as new gadgets, like Batman’s Power Suit and Robins’ Hazard Cannon, while new abilities such as flight, super-breath and heat vision will feature in this latest entry to the incredibly popular series of LEGO games.
Sounds… super.
