Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has today announced that the release of Gotham City Impostors has been delayed, or “moved,” to February.
Gotham City Impostors is an all-new game by Monolith (No One Lives Forever, FEAR) set in the world of Batman’s Gotham City, where team’s of up to six players choose to play on the side of The Batman (the Bats) or The Joker (the Jokerz), and then proceed to blast each other to pieces with a range of weaponry and awesome gadgets.
The news of a delay for the downloadable first-person shooter comes as a bit of a surprise as it seemed as though the previously announced release date (January 10th) had been locked in, but the recent online beta test may have had an impact on the game as far as feedback goes.
Perhaps Monolith found elements of the game that it needed to change, and thus delay release?

So sad i never got to be part of the Beta, but it is quite a shock that is got delayed, that beta must of punched quite a few gaps into the game, lets hope they fix it.
I'm also really really sad I didn't get into the Beta, this game is going to be awesome. At least its not getting a DNF delay and we have to wait another 5years. But Maybe this is a good thing. This year I would love to get this and the New Counter Strike for Online play.
I had a beta key for this game but got swept up in Battlefield and Uncharted 3 that i totally forgot about the beta.
don't go blaming Battlefield....you will be shot or stabbed....in the game. blame it on the silly game Uncharted.....next week I'm dedicating some time for Uncharted 1

Sob, a sad day indeed. I was so looking forward to playing it this month. Oh well, more time to clear my backlog I suppose! Can't wait for next month now :)
Delays should be viewed as a good thing (DNF notwithstanding), it gives the developers time to make an uber game even better (just look at Blizzard as an example)
They received maybe some feedback from the beta that made it neccesary to delay the game or face the wrath of the customers by sticking to the date and release a glitchy game. I am not worried by the delay just repair what needs to be repaired.
