It’s time to chart out this year’s gaming calendar to make sure we’re ready for the gaming goodness to come, but let’s start at the very beginning and take a look at some of the top releases of January 2012, across all platforms.
January’s list of games is a little thin to begin with, but there’s still some quality to be found with a competitive online shooter from Monolith, as well as a couple 3DS games and a few downloadable titles.
Then, right at the end of the month, there’s a small deluge with releases overflowing from the US into the beginning of February in other territories.
Here’s that list of games releasing in January 2012:
Week of January 2nd:
- NFL Blitz (January 3rd – PSN, XBLA)
- TNT Racers (January 3rd – PSN, XBLA)
Week of January 9th:
- Crush 3D (3DS)
- Deadliest Warrior: Ancient Combat (PS3, Xbox 360)
- Gotham City Impostors (January 10th – PSN, XBLA PC)

So the expenses begin again lol. I'm actually waiting for the famous ME3 in March then Max Payne also in March I think so for now I shall have to be happy with what I have :)
The only game on that list I'm interested in is Soul Calibur V, which is not actually a game of January because it's only out on 3 February in Europe and here.
I'm vaguely curious about Neverdead, but I'll wait for reviews, and even if those are positive, probably until it's very cheap. Too much other stuff ;)
NeverDead... Bulletstorm scenario I predict. Failings I foresee. Eat my words I might.
Oh my gosh people - Gotham City impostors! Don't miss out on this title whatever you do. Woohoo, can't wait!
I'm waiting for February. Twised Metal, UFC 3, and SSX are all coming out next month. I need to start pinching pennies.
why Silent Hill HD Collection not coming to xbox? :'(
I dont't have alot of cash left after i bought the PS3 so i will give January and February a miss and save my pennies for Mass effect 3. Still need to finish Final Fantasy Xlll so i will skip part two. Does anyone know when Bioshock infinite is releasing?
No announced release date for Bioshock Infinite, unfortunately. ;(
February and March are going to be mighty for game releases - it all begins in earnest early next month for EMEA territories, but North America gets a preview this month. ;)
I would love to get Gotham City Impostors and Neverdead, but I won't be buying them from day one, want to save up for the Diablo 3 CE and a PS Vita. I have to figure out my Budget for games this year as I have big plans for the year
@POItjie and @Trebbzz i agree with both of you as those are exactly what i want to get my hands on so i wont be buying much just saving up.
resident evil: revelations - oh yes!
@Fletbed The Silent Hill HD collection is coming to the Xbox, but the release date I've got for the European version is only April 2012.
Gotham City Impostors i`ll gety when the price drops. Not spending a cent on games until ME3 is released. Also looking forward to Kingdom Of Amalur but wont get it on release day either
everyone wants ME3........what makes that silly game so special??? why does nobody want Pong HD??? or Diablo 3??
Poitjie best is to play the games to find out what makes them so special
WHAT!!! Silly i will have your dogtag for that EA,SKWEH and Smuroh will back me up for insulting Commander Sheppard and the crew of the Normandy. ;)
bring it on, I'll take you all one with a banana and a pocketknife.........see you all on the battlefield.
Oltman are you going to join us? I see you are playing BF3.
Battlefield 3 was awesome. had some great fun lastnight, my first 3 matches has hectic as I jumped in with fullmetal and the team, but left that game to join Smuroh, Oltman, Battrex and wezflash for some awesome fun. we heard some .....interesting things from Oltman.......but will leave it at that.
We had a whole team full of SA players it was crazy, hectic, bizarre, fun all in one taking on the rest of the world and we won most of the matches. If you play crap they tell you in a gently SA way you play crap but it was crazy fun.
Bad news guys, Gotham City Impostors pushed back to February. nooooooo and its only going to be 800MSP on Xbox Live. I so want this game.
