With the ‘shocking’ (READ: Expected Any Day Now) announcement of Resident Evil 6 two weeks ago with that jaw-dropping trailer, action, horror and survival horror fans around the world finally got the confirmation they’ve been waiting for - Capcom is going big!
Naturally, dozens of questions were raised regarding the nature of the game, who you’ll be playing as and which events the plot revolves around in Resident Evil 6, but at least one question that’s been burning fans’ brains since the fifth game has been answered: It’s not survival horror this time around. Again.
Instead, Capcom’s directors and producers insist that Resident Evil 6 is carving out its own genre of horror that the team has dubbed “dramatic horror,” something quite different to the ‘survival’ strain. “Classic Resident Evil moments” are promised, but the trailer says otherwise.
In addition, it’s been confirmed that a whopping 600 people are currently working on Resident Evil 6 to ensure it hits its release date of November 20th this year, 150 of those personnel being from Capcom HQ proper.
Further details emerging regarding the actual gameplay of Resident Evil 6 reveal that the game will, at one point in the storyline, throw 70 000 zombies at players - creatures that this time are “a bit different to what [we] may be used to.”
Reports doing the rounds also point to Resident Evil 6 including six-player co-operative multiplayer online, with two-player local co-operative play in the mix, too. Another secretive multiplayer mode is said to allow for up to eight players
Whether or not those multiplayer claims are true remains to be seen, but we’ll keep our ears to the ground to discover the truth.

I so can't wait for this game, Its going to be super awesome. The visuals looks so good and I think it will be best if one plays this in a dark room with headphones as it won't be so scary with it..... ;)
As mentioned in my Twitter comment, Dramatic Horror is what made scary games fail for me. Survival Horror instilled fear. Dramatic Horror is just for a quick scare.
But I'd still like to try it though.
I don't really mind between dramatic and survival horror. Survival horror can sometimes get a bit overbearing so it's nice to have an actiony horror game once in a while
