There’s no denying the importance and influence of development studio Maxis on the videogame industry as a whole. Founded by industry legend Will Wright, the studio produced some of the world’s most memorable and well-known games including SimCity, The Sims, Spore and more recently, Darkspore.
Since the departure of Will Wright, however, the innovative future of Maxis has been a little shaky, but rumours doing the rounds point to the company working on a “triple-A simulation style game.”
Set your imagination free and answer this Question of the Day:
What should the next game from Maxis be?
Is it possible for Maxis to take the simulation aspect of Spore even further, or expand on the possibilities of The Sims? Perhaps all rolled up into an RPG system like Spore combined with deeper world creation abilities above and beyond SimCity?
Let your minds go crazy and tell us what you want to see from Maxis in the future!

A new Sim City with a heavy modded sims 3 system and people populated city!!!! I love this franchise - Sim City 3000 Is still the best though! Rush hour was trash!
spore, game is epic ... its like playing god :D
I would like to see another Sim City game. and I think they should relaunch Sim City 3000 onto XBLA. I still have to test out Spore so I can't comment on that. Anyone play DarkSpore yet? I want to know how it is as I'm interested in getting it.
I played Spore for a bit, it's great as a curiousity but it's a rubbish game, I didn't even finish a full playthrough.
I don't think I'd want a new SimCity that was even more in depth than the old ones, it would start to seem too much like work.
They should make a new SimAnt! But they won't.
SimCorporate - I've always wanted to see a game where you start life as a entrepreneur and develop your business into a multi million rand / pound / dollar industry.
Make is as real life as possible and it might even become a how-to for budding entrepreneurs. (the same way as we all now know how to develop megalopolises)
:)
SimHistory, perhaps? Probably too much work and highly unfeasible, but it would be interesting to see how history plays out with different scenarios. What if the Nazis had won WW2? What if Alexander the Great was just Alexander the Just Ok? How about if the Egyptians had discovered the secrets of flight way back around the time that they were building the pyramids? As I said...completely not feasible, but damn if it's not something I'd play to death!
Failing that, I'd say "SimJungle"...but that already exists in the form of "Viva Pinata" :P
