South African online retailer TakeALot has gone through a massive transformation over the last year - it was only a few months ago that the company was more well-known as the award-winning Take2, but now after a name change and a fresh, user-friendly website overhaul, TakeALot is now poised to continue on from its successes to become the country’s premier online destination for all of your entertainment product needs.
TakeALot’s Andrew Royal was at 2upGamers’ recent Third Encounter gaming event to let the audience know about the retailer’s community initiatives and an awesome TakeALot competition, as well as give away three limited edition versions of Mass Effect 3!
Royal gave us a quick tour of the TakeALot website highlighting some of the products that the site carries, including books, electronics, PC hardware, DVDs and Blu-ray movies, beauty products, music, toys and, of course, videogames!
Site-wide, TakeAlot is making a real push to be as transparent, effective and helpful as possible and as a result, the team is making extensive use of Twitter and Facebook to speak directly with its community. TakeALot is actively monitoring these social media tools to help consumers in any way they can, while Royal says that feedback from the community is vital in order for the company to improve and evolve its services into the future, so all feedback is welcome in order to achieve this goal.
You can reach TakeALot via Twitter over here, and Facebook here.
Andrew Royal wasn’t at Third Encounter just to talk shop, however, and announced an exciting competition currently running at TakeALot that could net a lucky winner a bunch of free games. All you need to do to stand a chance of winning one new game from TakeALot every month is sign up for the site’s newsletter (over here) and you’ll be entered into the draw – good luck!
Being a hardcore gamer himself and a big fan of the Mass Effect series, Royal closed his presentation by giving away three copies of the limited Mass Effect 3 N7 Collector’s Edition to some truly lucky Third Encounter attendees – congratulations!
Thanks to Andrew Royal for visiting 2upGamers’ Third Encounter to spread the word of TakeALot and for the exciting giveaway!
