2012 looks set to be a big year for the 3DS, with a number of illustrious franchises splashing down on the handheld during the course of this year. Tekken 3D: Prime Edition is a great example of this growing trend, and promises to keep fighting game enthusiasts happy with its huge roster, diverse multiplayer options and 60 frames per second visuals.
Namco Bandai recently released a Japanese trailer for the game which highlights its main selling points. The trailer confirms that Tekken 3D will feature all 41 characters from Tekken 6 and will support both local and online play. Fans of the 3DS’ StreetPass functionality can look forward to the game featuring more than 700 unlockable cards with artwork from the series to trade with friends and strangers alike.
If you didn’t know already, the CG film Tekken: Blood Vengeance will also be included on the Tekken 3D game cart as an added bonus.
Tekken 3D: Prime Edition will be released exclusively for 3DS on February 14th in the US and February 29th in PAL territories.
