PS3 owners had plenty of classics to play last year thanks to the release of HD versions of top PS2 titles such as ICO, Shadow of the Colossus and Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3.
Now a recent Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) listing for both Grand Theft Auto III and GTA: Vice City for the PlayStation 3 platform seems to suggest that we’re in for another bumper year of excellent PS2 re-releases.
We’ll have to wait for an official announcement from Rockstar to ascertain whether these two games will be remastered in HD and released on Blu-ray, or unaltered PS2 Classics to be released on the PlayStation Store.
There’s no sign of fan-favourite GTA: San Andreas at this point, but if the first couple of PS2 Grand Theft Auto titles perform well on PS3/PSN then it would be a no-brainer for Rockstar to bring San Andreas’ expansive sandbox world to PS3.

I just recently got GTAIII on my android Tab. Its awesome. the controls is so easy. its a anniversary edition. I think its the same one that they releasing on the PS3. Its a fun game. Brings back memories.
