Last week’s Gears of War Wednesday went well and things got started at about 20:10. The first lobby was full in almost no time at all, but we ran into some resistance whilst trying to get the second lobby up and running.
There were quite a few players who didn’t own the latest map pack and thus they were unable to join. Even more saddening though were the amount of p33ps who had the downloadable content and still couldn’t join because of a version mismatch error.
As usually happens, however, the Gears community pulled together and came up with some solutions, a big thanks to BEANIBILITY for helping sort things out. So after a few console restarts and plenty of good old fashioned persistence we had two fully loaded lobbies running.
With regards to the action it was actually the maps that dictated the pace as many a COG/Locust found themselves hopelessly lost on the beautiful new levels. Otherwise it was business as usual for the likes of IshSpecialist, FoFoZA and Ze Snake, with Maiya ZA putting on some Chuck Norris-esque performances.

Unfortunately Wednesday nights aren't good for me, so I won't be able to join tomorrow, but if you have a Gears Tuesday or a Gears Thursday one week, I'll be there!
Phew lucky for you Chuck Norris pitched up to save the day! Tomorrow might be a bit tough for me as I'm versing ITF Gaming in MW3 at 7 ... But if it ends quickly I'll be sure to hop in for a round or two!
