Anno 2070 Review (PC)
The world has seen the last of the polar ice caps, global warming has raised the sea-level by a few meters and the world map looks completely different. Even though Anno 2070 is a real-time strategy game you should be warned that this isn’t your StarCraft 2 or Command and Conquer RTS with lots of units and lots of action. Yes, you have combat in Anno 2070, but this game is for the budding economist.

I want to get this game for my dad as he is a big Anno fan, he has played them all and still plays Anno 1404. I heard the DRM on this game is bit overboard...so I'm not so sure anymore
DRM from Ubisoft is always bad. in Anno 2070 you only get 3 (yes, three) activations. and I have not found an easy way to un-activate a game. it is a bit silly as it uses your U-Play account to log in and the activation code is limited to that one account. why then also limit the amount of activations per install?
once activated you can play offline, so thats not a big worry. and if your dad played the other Anno games he will def love this one!
OK cool, I'll have a look if I can't find it for him. I heard a rumor....like 10mins ago that they might bring a patch out for this games DRM to make it bit "softer" and make it more likable for gamers. but will see what happens
the whole DRM thing is a very touchy subject. as it stands DRM only inconveniences legal owners of games as sneaky peg-legged eye-patched parrot-on-the-shoulder type people will just circumvent the copy protection and play as easily as they want. we who bought are the only ones being inconvenienced.. boo! hiss!
i understand the need for DRM, but the current system is failing us...
