The 3DS is fast establishing itself as the console to own in Japan. Not only is it dominating the hardware chart week after week, but now it’s taking over the software chart too. This week there are no less than six 3DS titles in the top ten, with four of the top five games appearing on Nintendo’s handheld.
No game managed to shift over 100k units this week, although newly released PSP title Super Robot Wars OG Saga: Masou Kishin II came closest with 81 896 copies sold.
Spirit Camera: The Cursed Memoir on 3DS was the second highest new entry on this week’s chart. This is an augmented reality horror game in the well-known Fatal Frame series, and was recently given a North American release date of April 13th.
Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy is the third and final new entry on this week’s chart. The game only sold 12 819 copies during its first four days on sale, but at least it assists in providing 3DS owners with a larger catalogue of games to choose from.

There is some interesting games on that list, I would love to own a 3DS to test out some of those games, feels like I'm missing out on some stuff.....its a gap in my gaming life......will have to make a plan to fill that gap.
The Japanese market is so different from the Western market at the moment that these figures are only good for otaku curiousity, they have less and less relevance to the state of Western industry.
some of the games on the list like super mario 3d land and mario kart 7 are also selling well in the rest of the world. if those games didn't sell in japan then we'd know there was some major problem with them!
Ok spirit camera looks freaking awesome reminds me of that movie....whats it callled.....ahhh freak i cant remember....i want it.
Yeah, if the latest Mario games aren't selling in Japan, then it's a good sign that there's a serious problem with them! Like a "sell Nintendo stock, the company's going under" sign ;)
