It’s Wednesday again, but not as you know it… the El33tonline community will still be hopping into games of Gears of War 3 from 20:00 tonight, but there are a few obstacles to overcome, first.

Luckily jGLZA will be around to help smooth things over and we’re inviting you to join in, too, to help continue to ensure that the excellent fun of Gears of War Wednesday ramps into the stratosphere!

Well, maybe the clouds and beyond would be a great first goal.

jGLZA has been appointed El33tonline’s first Gears of War Wednesday Community Leader and he will be helping everyone get into games tonight from 20:00 over Xbox LIVE, but even he needs some assistance.

If regulars like FoFoZA and Fullmetal MDK are available, we would appreciate it if you co-ordinated with jGLZA to host matches and invite players into lobbies, but you can volunteer your hosting services in the comments below, too.

If you want to peruse a list of Xbox LIVE Gamertags to add to your friends list and join in on the games, you can look at lists here and here, and do your part in ensuring eager Gears players get some online games!

Unfortunately El33tonline regulars El33tOliver (me) and Numphie won’t be able to make it tonight as we’ll be at the JHBGamers’ meet-up in Johannesburg and travelling, too, far away from our Xbox 360s in Durban.

While that isn’t so much of an obstacle, the fact that the Fenix Rising multiplayer map pack for Gears of War 3 released yesterday is a bit of a problem for players who don’t have the content, but we’ll need to sort that out in the future.
