South African game distributor Ster Kinekor partners with SEGA
South African videogame distributor Ster Kinekor Entertainment has announced today that the company has entered into a distribution partnership with SEGA.
The deal means that Ster Kinekor will hold the exclusive right to sell SEGA games in the country, including 2012 games such as Binary Domain, Aliens: Colonial Marines, Yakuza: Dead Souls, Anarchy Reigns and future Sonic titles, amongst others.
Ster Kinekor has acquired distribution rights for a number of big publishers in recent months and now distribute for Sony Computer Entertainment, THQ, Bethesda, Capcom, Konami, D3Publisher and Nordic Games.
The license to distribute SEGA titles was acquired by Ster Kinekor Entertainment in December 2011.

this is really awesome news. I'm trying to get sker Kinekor on the list for DBNGamers. will see how it goes. some good games that are coming from sega. can't wait.
Were SEGA games distributed in SA before this? How is this a benefit to us? Those games are hardly AAA or even AA and I assume the exclusivety deal will just allow them to inflate the prices.
@jGLZA has a point on the prices i hate to think of the mark-up that will be added to it, but Ster Kinekor seems to be on the ball with these things and Space Marine CE was a good price at rage so lets see how it goes, and lets hope they jump on board with #DBNGamers.
