NPD reveals top-selling games for US in 2011
Now that we know how the videogame industry performed in the US for the month of December, we can turn to see what titles earned a spot in the Top 10 for 2011.
According to sales tracking firm The NPD Group, the number one game for 2011, across all platforms, was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Just Dance 3 followed in second place while Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, voted El33tonline’s Game of the Year, was third.
Battlefield 3 took fourth with Madden NFL 12, Call of Duty: Black Ops and Batman: Arkham City next on the list. Gears of War 3, Just Dance 2 and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations rounded off the chart in numbers 8, 9 and 10 respectively.

Not surprising to see Modern Warfare 3 at the top, but Just Dance 3 right there at number two is amazing! And then Just Dance 2 at number nine - Ubisoft must be smiling ;)
