Anyone who’s played a Ninja Gaiden game (or the arcade games and first Xbox title, specifically) will know that this action series from Team Ninja is collectively one of the most challenging around.
To counteract that difficulty, these games offer bounteous rewards of satisfaction for effectively slicing and dicing enemies with your weapons and mystical powers, and with the third full franchise entry on the way, not a whole lot is expected to change.
Except for the addition of multiplayer.
Ninja Gaiden 3 will feature what looks to be a competitive multiplayer mode, where a handful of players will run around in their ninja outfits stabbing and pummelling one another with reckless abandon.
If I were to use a technical term to describe the multiplayer action of Ninja Gaiden 3 showcased in the video below, that term would be ‘janky,’ but ‘underwhelming’ might be another:

It looks as though there’s potential for something interesting, but I can’t see the full picture at the moment - can you?

Comments:
I hope they don't spend too much time developing the multiplayer over the single player. It looks good for a laugh, but the kind of thing you'll try once or twice and then never again. Servers will be empty in no time.
orgasms
never Graeme, this looks like a game that takes skil and .'. people will continue to play to test there skill against others just like gears, multiplayer will be a huge success, wana bet?
I agree with Graeme, Don't want them to lose focus on the Single Player. this is just another example of a single player game that didn't need MP but got added MP just to fit in to the trend. Looks fun, might give it a try.
What a sad sad day when something as special as ninja gaiden has now also jumped on the multiplayer bandwagon !!!!
Some games must just stick to single player
@POItjie and @Graeme what are you on about this looks insane i would love an MP like this and i think it could get seriously intense with the right ppl playing. The SP is still going to be as awesomesauce as ever but i think the MP is going to be something fresh and new.
