As 2011 is Sonic T. Hedgehog’s 20th anniversary year, it naturally makes sense to celebrate the little blue speedster with a brand new game that hopes to buck the trend of below average Sonic experiences and finally deliver something fans have been waiting for – a good, solid, fast-paced platform game.
According to SEGA, it also makes sense to release a version of this game that’s coated with awesome memorabilia, and so the collector’s edition of Sonic Generations has been announced for PS3 and Xbox 360.
Available only in Europe and Australia, here’s what you get in this limited edition bundle:
- A collectable figurine featuring both classic Sonic and modern Sonic
- An individually numbered commemorative “Gold Ring”
- “20 Years of Sonic Art” book
- “20th Anniversary Sonic Soundtrack” featuring tracks handpicked by Sonic Team
- “History of Sonic: Birth of an Icon” documentary
- Limited edition lenticular packaging
- Bonus additional downloadable content
Here’s what all of that looks like:
Sonic Generations is out on PS3, Xbox 360 and 3DS this November – blaze through El33tonline’s previous coverage of the game for screenshots, videos and extra details.
