Resident Evil fans with access to the PlayStation Network have had plenty to smile about over the last few weeks. To celebrate the series’ 15th anniversary, Capcom and Sony recently made the first three games in the franchise free to PS Plus members, and also offered them 50% off the HD versions of RE4 and Code Veronica X.
Next Tuesday (October 4th) Capcom will also make Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition available on the North American PlayStation Store for $29.99. It’s still unclear whether or not Plus subscribers will once again get a reduced rate on the title.
RE5: Gold Edition features PlayStation Move compatibility as well as all the main DLC released for the game. This includes two extra chapters - ‘Lost In Nightmares’ and ‘Desperate Escape’, two costume packs and the Mercenaries Reunion mode.
I’d still love to see Resident Evil Zero and the remake of RE1 (released for GameCube and Wii) come to PSN, but unfortunately it seems Nintendo isn’t going to allow that to happen any time soon.

Comments:
I just wish that RE2 and RE3 would make it's way to the EU/SA store.
^You can always create a US account you know.
i would say anyone who is a true ps3 and xbox 360 enthusiast and has enough bandwidth should have at least a US and UK account, and then consider getting a japanese and hong kong one as well. i don't use my hong kong one very often, but every now and then betas/demos (like the ones for uncharted 3 and sonic generations) are released there first, and they also have decent english translations (plot, features etc.) of japanese-only games like yakuza black panther.
