Well that was weird.
It was roughly five hours ago that the PlayStation Network mysteriously became unavailable to what seemed like a large collection of users, but the service has now just as mysteriously rumbled back to life.
OK, so maybe PSN didn’t mysteriously return to full functionality, as we were made aware by the European PlayStation Blog that PlayStation Network engineers were working hard to restore the service, but the sudden troubles are still largely unknown.
There’s no official word yet, but reports are coming in that PSN has returned and is ready to serve your online gaming needs.
Is the PlayStation Network back in operation in your neck of the woods? I was able to log in no problem a few minutes ago after being rebuffed a little earlier.

Kevin Butler tripped over the ethernet cable and it came unplugged. Everything is fine now.
Could have been another hacking attempt and they shut it down before it came bad. Dont you just love conspiracy theories :D
