The Silent Hill series has always managed to carve out a unique space for itself in a market flooded with too many games trying to do the same thing. The atmospheric and lonely locales scattered around the run-down town of Silent Hill always seem to inspire moments of self-reflection - an unusual emotion to experience when playing a video game.
Silent Hill: Downpour is the fifth title in the franchise which original developer and publisher Konami has entrusted to an overseas-based studio (Vatra Games). It chronicles the exploits of escaped convict Murphy Pendleton after the prison transport vehicle he was riding in crashes in the southeastern region of Silent Hill.
A new trailer for the game was shown at the Tokyo Game Show over the weekend, and serves up some tantalising glimpses at new characters and locations including a mysterious young girl and an orphanage. Downpour’s theme song performed by American nü-metal band Korn also features in the trailer.
Silent Hill: Downpour will be released on PS3 and Xbox 360 ‘soon’ according to the trailer, although I have a sneaking suspicion that we’re only going to see it next year due to the onslaught of triple-A games hitting store shelves from next month.

A little bit, a little chicken, yeah. ;)
Hey whatever, the thing that scared me the most in Homecoming were the showstopper bugs... and I don't mean the creepy crawlie kind! ;)
hahaha ;) they should make a 'paranormal' game now that will be the most scary game haha!
