Can you believe I played FFXIII for the first time just last night? I put it off forever but I'm in a gaming slump now and a co-worker let me borrow it.
Impressive! ;)
That's one of the most divisive games of the last few year (as far as I've heard). I'd be interested to hear what you think after putting in some time - apparently it's a slow burn but grabs you once it gets going (I haven't played it ;( ).
i'm proud to say i've finished every final fantasy game since vii (excluding xi for obvious reasons) - it's become a tradition for me, and every one of them has had something cool to offer. i will say though that i found final fantasy xiii to be the least enjoyable of them all, although it has one of the most compelling battle systems. it's too focused on combat (i'm a fan of town exploration which this has none of) and there's little to no choice during the storyline. past final fantasy games at least gave you some dialogue choices and some sections where you could choose how to proceed - such as when you dress cloud up as a girl in ffvii.
