“For every action, consequence.”
Ain’t that the truth.
The latest set of screenshots and an all-new trailer emerging out of Tokyo Game Show 2011 reveals another of Ninja Gaiden 3’s core gameplay tenets, ‘Consequence,’ and in the video below you’ll see master ninja Hayabusa “suffer under the effects of a curse” in a newly revealed environment included in the hectically gory and white-knuckle action game:

Comments:
Very true - I'll be the first to voice my concerns over using QTEs where they're unnecessary.
As for an Itagaki-less game, however, reading interviews with the game directors that are still at Team Ninja makes it seem as though they've still got the spirit of the developer and are very aware that the pressure is on them to come out and deliver a great game.
In most cases, that kind of pressure and underdog mentality leads to quality productions, so I've been very keen following this game so far knowing that they're not just going to release 'another Ninja Gaiden game.'
Dang... I can already feel my hands cramping up, like a Pavlovian response or something... ;)
I don't know about this. Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2 are among my favourite action games, but I'm not sure I like the direction the Itagaki-less Tecmo are taking NG3. A big warning was the inclusion of QTEs into a game that successfully proved you don't need QTEs to have intricate, visceral combat.
