TGS 2011: Dead or Alive 5 announced with debut trailer
Team Ninja has announced at this year’s Tokyo Game Show that the developer will indeed continue the beloved Dead or Alive fighting game series with a fifth iteration, releasing in 2012 on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Itagaki’s nightmare continues.

Translation error, they misspelled "sex object" as "fighter" on the promo poster. Real time sweat modelling?
Gameplay trailer shows more things happening with the arena than before, DOA's great strength was always its fantastic multi-level stages, looks like we'll see more of that. Other than that, the fight could have been from DOA4, but I suppose it's still in alpha.
Hopefully the 'new' Team Ninja can catapult the Dead or Alive franchise into prominence alongside the likes of Street Fighter IV and Mortal Kombat - there's a lot of technicality involved in the game and those multi-stage battles are also awesome.
Should be a lot of fun, based on the action shown in that video.
