Ubisoft and Reflections Studios’ Driver: San Francisco is due for release in all EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) regions today and tomorrow, finally bringing the publisher and developer pair’s latest vision for the much-loved Driver franchise to the world.
South Africa, however, will be left out of the high-speed racing and ‘shifting’ fun.
According to Ubisoft South Africa’s Rene Fraser, incoming stock of Driver: San Francisco to the country has been delayed. Here’s the full statement:
“Driver San Francisco [and] Driver Renegade stock has been delayed to South Africa. The release date has been moved to Friday 9 September… and retailers will be able to sell as soon as the stock arrives.”
That’s a shame for gamers in the country as Driver: San Francisco truly looks like a solid action racing game. In the meantime, you can read over El33tonline’s hands-on preview of the game to find out the kinds of racing antics you’ll be getting up to.

Comments:
That is a shame for those who were going to pick it up now, game has been getting solid reviews.
Wish I finished the first game, I was so close but those last levels were bloody hard :P
The good news is that as soon as shops do receive stock they will be able to sell it, so keep an eye on shelves over the weekend.
Also, check back tomorrow, we may have a little competition to celebrate Friday!
