Gears of War 3 is all set and ready for its worldwide release next month, September 20th, and we’re all extremely excited to wade back into the fray in the fight against the Locust in this final chapter of the epic Gears of War trilogy!

With under well under two months to go until release, the standalone version of Gears of War 3 is now available to pre-order in South Africa, and if you decide to secure your copy of the title through participating retailers, you’ll net yourself some exclusive downloadable content for the game.

First of all, if you pre-order Gears of War 3 at selected retailers in South Africa, you’ll be eligible for the Savage Kantus Shaman for use in multiplayer. Here’s an awesome description of the creature:

“The Savage Kantus were profoundly impacted by the loss of the Hollow. They have reverted to a primal, shamanistic state, and their battle cries have taken a dark, melancholy turn. Few sounds are as terrifying to human ears.”

If you pre-order Gears of War 3 at BT Games, specifically, you’ll be able to get the Savage Grenadier Elite skin:

“Grenadiers are trained to be fierce enemies, and their Savage brethren are particularly brutal. The Savage Elite add cunning to the mix, making them the undisputed warlords of the Locust army.”
