Sega has revealed a new level for House of the Dead: OVERKILL Extended Cut. Titled Naked Terror, the level is the first of two exclusive levels from the Extended Cut.
According to a post on Sony’s PlayStation Blog, Naked Terror sees you fighting your way through a strip club, the streets of Bayou City and a bar. You’ll be facing new stripper and biker mutants in new environments, but this time you won’t be playing as Agent G and Detective Washington, you’ll be stepping into the shoes of Varla (who was previously a non-playable character in the original Overkill) and her stripper friend Candy.
The story begins to read a bit like a soap opera now, because there are connections between Candy and Jasper, who was the boss at the end of the Plantation level. She’s working alongside Varla (who just so happens to be Jasper’s sister) to save up enough pennies to leave Bayou City with Jasper.
As you can tell from above, the two exclusive levels cover a new side story that will reveal additional details to help players understand the main storyline. Sega promised more details for the second exclusive level soon, so stay tuned!
House of the Dead: OVERKILL Extended Cut will be available exclusively on PS3 across PAL regions on the 28th of October. It will be the first House of the Dead to be released on an HD console and feature Move Motion Controller support and a 3D TV mode.
