Keen rugby fans who also happen to own an Xbox 360 listen up!

The demo for 505 Games and HB Studios’ Rugby World Cup 2011 is now available for download over Xbox LIVE Marketplace!

Weighing in at 540.48 MB, and available to Xbox LIVE Gold members, the demo for Rugby World Cup 2011 features the chance to take control of either England or South Africa in a match set at the rugby stadium of Auckland.

“The demo is meant for players of all abilities,” says 505, “and will give everyone a taste of the Official videogame of Rugby World Cup 2011.”

505 Games points out that, in the full game of Rugby World Cup 2011, you’ll be able to customise the difficulty setting as you choose from the twenty teams participating in this year’s official, real-world rugby world cup in New Zealand, and lead that team to the final.

Those of you looking forward to Rugby World Cup 2011 on PlayStation 3 will unfortunately have to wait until tomorrow to get your hands on the game’s demo, via the PlayStation Network.

Releasing on August 26th this year across Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 (and just in time for the real thing on September 9th), Rugby World Cup 2011 is the official game of this year’s rugby tournament in New Zealand and will feature all twenty of the participating countries, giving you a chance to take your favourite team through the competition to win the illustrious Webb Ellis Cup.

You’ll also be able to take the game online via Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network for a few one-on-one matches – the first time HB Studios has incorporated such a feature into one of its rugby games.
