It’s a sad reality that not everyone can make it to gamescom, so we took the time to do a photo sweep of the more impressive stands on the showroom floor for you. We got in nice and early ahead of all the crowds to get the cleanest possible pictures for you to feast your eyes on, but later in the week you’ll see our coverage of the sea of people filling these areas, jostling for their turn to play.
There is so much awesomeness to see at gamescom we couldn’t contain it in a single post so be sure to check out part two of our showroom coverage.
I loved Borderlands and I am sure this stand is going to be on many people ‘must visit’ lists.
Blizzard won’t go unnoticed with this massive stand - you can only see half of it in this photo! They really do go all out for the fans and will be swamped by visitors.
Peter is drawn to the Capcom stand like a bee to honey to give Street Fighter X Tekken a go. Sporting the classic super arcade stick with original arcade buttons, we just had to stop for a one-on-one battle. I am thrilled to report that my superior button mashing approach won out over his more measured approach.
No rematch will be entertained.
DOTA is as strong as ever with the release of DOTA 2. I didn’t want to get too close unless the craving took over…
PlayStation has an impressive amount of content on show again this year. There is literally something for everyone and they always manage to make their stands visually interesting.
