If you’re in need of a high-octane trailer to inject some colour into your day then look no further than the new “Create or Destroy” trailer for Ridge Racer Unbounded.
This jaw-dropping spectacle introduces us to a novel feature for the Ridge Racer series - the ability to craft an unlimited number of tracks using the “City Creator” and then share and play them online with friends or foes.
The game is looking graphically spectacular at this early stage, featuring clean, shiny car models, crazy particle effects and some of the best physics and damage modelling you’re likely to see this generation.
It looks as though Ridge Racer Unbounded’s developers Bugbear Entertainment are taking the long-running series in an exciting new direction, and I’m looking forward to seeing how the game compares to other arcade racers like Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit.
Ridge Racer Unbounded is due for release sometime during 2012 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. You can browse through our previous coverage of the game over here.
