If you’re itching to get your hands on the official PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game of the Rugby World Cup, then you’ll be able to grab a demo for Rugby World Cup 2011 from the beginning of August!
505 Games and HB Studios will release the Rugby World Cup 2011 taster via Xbox LIVE and the PlayStation Network on August 2nd and August 3rd respectively. The demo will feature a match played between mega rugby rivals South Africa and England, set in the stadium of Auckland, New Zealand.
Releasing on August 26th this year across Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 (and just in time for the real thing on September 9th), Rugby World Cup 2011 is the official game of this year’s rugby tournament in New Zealand and will feature all twenty of the participating countries, giving you a chance to take your favourite team through the competition to win the illustrious Webb Ellis Cup.
You’ll also be able to take the game online via Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network for a few one-on-one matches – the first time HB Studios has incorporated such a feature into one of its rugby games.

Is it true that to make the game more realistic, South Africa can never loose? :-P
hope this game plays as it looks. but it looks nice ;)
i'll definitely be picking up the demo and will of course report back with hands-on impressions! it's always a good sign when a developer is prepared to release a public demo a few weeks before the game releases. i really hope the online mode is slick and lag-free because i'm looking forward to playing a rugby game against real-world rivals. i hope 505 games do a good job publishing this title as the old, ps2-era rugby games by hb studios were published by ea.
