Have you been itching to discover what the ‘mysterious’ game from Atlus, Catherine, is all about? Is it a modern-day Q-bert, comprising only block-based platform puzzles? Or is there more to it than that? Is there a lot more to it than that?
You really shouldn’t be scratching your head in confusion because you could read our preview of Catherine to find out what you need to know, but if you need to get your hands on the game you can make your way to the North American Xbox LIVE Marketplace and download an 845 MB demo, which has just gone live.
Here’s the official description of Catherine:
“Explore the pleasures and horrors of love and the choices we make for it in this action-adventure/puzzle game unlike any other. As Vincent, you have a hard choice to make: marry your longtime girlfriend Katherine or move on to the incredible blonde you just woke up next to–named Catherine! But beware! Make the wrong choice, and you could end up dead.”
If you’re an Xbox LIVE Gold member and you’re in North America (or otherwise…), you can head on over here to queue up your download of the Catherine demo.
PlayStation Network browsers in the region will also be able to get some time with the Catherine demo soon.

Comments:
I'm keen to check this out, but it's Gold exclusive for the first week, like most demos on Live so you can't get it with a dummy US account yet. I'll have a look next week.
I played the demo last night and the game a little better than I expected. I don't think it's something I'd spend $60 on though.
