We’ve been waiting for quite some time to hear what the team at Monolith (FEAR, Condemned) is up to, and before E3 2011 Warner Bros. Interactive revealed that the renowned studio is currently developing a crazy-looking competitive first-person shooter called Gotham City Impostors.
Releasing next year, Gotham City Impostors will be a downloadable title on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, and will feature four-versus-four multiplayer where you play as a customisable ‘impostor,’ either on Batman’s team or universe antagonist Joker’s team.
In the debut trailer, you’ll get a glimpse of the different gadgets, weapons and equipment available to you as one of these makeshift heroes and villains, as the characters run around one of the areas of Gotham City.
The visual style and humour is very reminiscent of that old Monolith classic, NOLF, which in my book is a very good thing indeed!
