With the release of two brand-spanking new screenshots for Rugby World Cup 2011 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, 505 Games and HB Studios have announced an exclusive partnership agreement with the Rugby Football Union.

This means that the official game of this year’s Rugby World Cup in New Zealand will feature the kit, emblems and player likenesses of England’s world cup team, in addition to the use of the ‘Home of England Rugby,’ the Twickenham Stadium.

Further team licensing agreements will be announced soon, say 505 Games.

Releasing on August 26th this year across Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 (and just in time for the real thing on September 9th), Rugby World Cup 2011 is the official game of this year’s rugby tournament in New Zealand and will feature all twenty of the participating countries, giving you a chance to take your favourite team through the competition to win the illustrious Webb Ellis Cup.

You’ll also be able to take the game online via Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network for a few one-on-one matches – the first time HB Studios has incorporated such a feature into one of its rugby games.
